Mediation is an informal process where the parties, either represented by a Lawyer or often unrepresented, meet with an independent third party “the mediator” in an effort to resolve their dispute.

How do we conduct our mediations?

We are able to utilise rooms to accommodate the parties needs all across the country and have appeared in several states mediating disputes.
As part of our process we meet with the parties individually to discuss your concerns and to learn about your desired resolution and the road blocks that have prevented you from being able to communicate with your former partner to date.
If appropriate we will then meet for the purposes of mediation. This process is bespoke and may be different for each family.
Sometimes additional meetings are required before mediation and that is perfectly normal. It may be that there has been family violence during the marriage, one of the parties still feels very hurt by the end of the marriage, or the parties are just unable to communicate face to face.
Each persons separation journey is different. You will see from the chart below that the process for navigating a separation is complex.
As a result sometimes shuttle mediation is appropriate.
